A few months ago we went to a fair while we were on vacation. My daughter became fascinated by the squirting race game that they had. She referred to it as “the contest”. We all played the game together and our daughter won of course. After her victory, she was able to select her prize. She picked a purple stingray to take home with her. She loves that stingray. Her stuffed stingray was the inspiration for this cute and easy paper plate craft. This is perfect for the summer.
My daughter named her stingray Pinky despite the fact that he was purple, so purple was the color that we chose.
What you will need:
A paper plate
A paper bowl
Acrylic paint
Glue
Googly eyes
Foam sheet or paper
Directions:
Cut the center of a paper plate out.
Glue it over and around the bottom of a paper bowl.
Paint your plate and bowl in the color of your choice and then set it aside to let it dry.
Cut the stingray’s tail out of foam or construction paper while you are waiting.
Add spots to the body and the tail using a different color of acrylic paint and then let the pieces dry.
When the paint is dry, glue the tail to the body.
Curl the edges of the paper plate up along the sides and add googly eyes to finish off your craft. He’s cute isn’t he? Pinky would be proud.

This is so cute! One time we saw one get caught and pulled up on the beach! I took quick pictures. It was amazing. He let him go. I’m going to pin and share this.
