I am a huge fan of gingerbread. Every year in November, I start gathering my supplies to build a big gingerbread house.
Here is a gingerbread replica of our old house.
This year we have already begun our brainstorming and are about ready to get baking.
Since we already had gingerbread on the brain, we decided to make a gingerbread craft.
We just found a ton of scraps the other day while cleaning out our craft room. We made some lovely scrap paper turkeys with some of the paper, but thought that would could put more of the scraps to good use.
We cut up a bunch of bits of paper in different shapes. I found brown and orangish brown colors that I thought would be perfect for the gingerbread. I cut out two simple gingerbread shapes out of white paper.
We used a glue stick to glue the pieces onto the cut-outs. We used buttons to decorate our gingerbread people. My daughter also drew and cut hair out of a piece of yellow construction paper because she wanted her gingerbread to be a girl.
These were so simple to make and came out so cute. I cannot wait to start baking.
Thank you as always for stopping by. Please follow us on Facebook as well
