When you do arts and crafts as much as we do, friends and family will randomly give you materials that they think that you can craft with. I recently inherited a large jar of corks from my mother-in-law. We dug into them once already to make carolers for Christmas and then last night after watching the ‘Polar Express’, I dug into them once more to make a train.
This was a quick and easy one. Use a glue gun to glue two corks together at their bottoms.
Glue another cork to one of the sides. This will be the front of your train.
Glue two medium black buttons to both sides of the back of the rear cork. Glue two more to the area where the two corks meet.
Glue four small black buttons to the front of the train, two on each side.
Cut a small piece of black card stock to form a front grate if desired.
