What you will need:
Newspaper
Magic markers
Glue stick
Directions: Paint the top 3/4 of the watercolor paper in soft yellow watercolors. Use a shade of blue to paint a thin line beneath the soft yellow and then paint the remaining 1/3 with a yellowish brown color. Set the paper aside to dry.
Cut a piece of newspaper into a vase shape. Paint the newspaper by painting half of the vase in the soft yellow color and the other half in the yellowish brown. Divide the colors with a line of blue.
While the paint dries, cut circles out of yellow construction paper.
Once the paint dries, use a glue stick to glue the newspaper vase to the bottom of the watercolor paper.
Glue the circles around the vase to form the flowers.
Use green markers to draw in stems, leaves and the flowers centers to finish your artwork off.
And there you have a simple Van Gogh inspired piece of mixed media that is great for many different age groups.
