Nature Hearts Art

Spread the love

If you heart nature and nature crafts like we do, you will surely love these gorgeous nature hearts.

My daughter and I love the outdoors. Being outside is therapy for the mind and for the body. Nothing brings me greater joy than watching my little girl running, playing and splashing outside. There is one thing that we love almost as much as being out in the nature and that is making nature crafts. In fact, we cannot go on a hike or walk without my daughter gathering rocks or acorns or pine cones for arts and craft projects. She has nature collections scattered everywhere. What better way for us to show our love for nature than with these beautiful nature hearts?

What you will need:

Nature items

Newspaper

Construction paper (thicker stock)

Tacky glue

Sharpie

Start off by gathering your nature supplies. My daughter and I always love this part. Use a bag or a small box to collect sticks, leaves, flowers, bark and anything else that you would like for your project.

Draw a large heart onto a piece of newspaper with a Sharpie. Cut out the heart around the outside of the Sharpie, leaving the Sharpie outline intact. The Sharpie outline will really help make the heart pop.

Now you are ready to decorate to your heart. Use tacky glue to glue on your nature items.

You can use school glue instead, we just recommend the tacky glue because we find it works better for projects such as this.

You can use full leaves and flowers or rip, cut and pull your materials apart.

Glue your heart onto a piece of construction paper to finish off your project. Aren’t these gorgeous? We just adore how these came out.

You can also use a pair of scrapbook scissors to cut a heart base to mat your nature hearts against.
