Sunday’s Best Link-Up Week #58

valentine's day, cupid, love

Happy couple holding hands in knitted mittens. Close up

Welcome to Week 58 of Mother 2 Mother’s Sunday’s Best Linkup. We’re continuing our Cupid’s Arrow theme this week. We’re looking for crafts, recipes, party ideas, decorating inspiration, gift ideas, love stories and anything else you would like to share surrounding love.

We also welcome other recipes, crafts, DIY, home makeover, gardening tips, SEO & blogging information, sewing projects, patio and deck makeovers, front porch makeover ideas, organization tips, ideas for backyard parties and makeovers and more. Blow the dust off your old posts and link those too. They’re great for inspiration.
Don’t have posts that fit into the theme, link up whatever post you would like to share. We would love to have parenting tips, DIY projects, homesteading, homeschooling, makeovers, cocktails, and your posts on family and life. Your linkups and giveaways are welcome here too. Anything goes, as long as it’s family friendly and you may linkup as many posts as you would like. Be sure to tell your friends they will want to join the festivities too.

Each week your hosts will select their favorite post and it will be featured the following week. An image from your post will be used on my blog the following week with a link back to your blog. Be sure to check back to see if you’re a Sunday’s Best featured blogger. All Featured Bloggers will have their posts Pinned to the Sunday’s Best Pinterest Board.

We would like readers to select their favorite posts. Voting will start at noon every Friday until mid-night. We will be adding the post with the most votes from our readers to our Sunday’s Best featured bloggers. Be sure to have your blog readers and social media followers head over to vote for your post on Fridays.

All posts linking to Sunday’s Best will be promoted on Twitter.

In addition to the reader’s and hosts selections, a post for our monthly themes will be selected and featured each week as well.

Red Sox Foot Print & Sunday’s Best Link-Up #11

Red Sox Kid Footprint crafts

My husband is a superstitious man, especially when it comes to sports. He has worn the same lucky shirt to watch the Patriots play for 14 years. He believes in lucky charms. Last year Mai & I made daddy a Patriots Foot Print Craft. When the Pats ended up winning the Superbowl, he took it to be a lucky charm. With opening day for the Red Sox coming, he wanted to ensure another winning New England team victory, so we broke out our paint again & a cute pair of little feet.

We drew & cut out a pair of socks from red construction paper.

I painted my daughter’s little piggies in a darker shade of red.

Press both painted feet into the socks. Mommy made a little mistake the first time & printed on the wrong side. So we flipped our sock over & printed on the other side as well.IMG_9656

Paint in white lines to separate the 2 socks & paint in heels & lines for the top of the socks.

8 Steps To Romance On Valentine’s Day If You Have Kids —&—Sunday’s Best Link-Up #5- Love Is In The Air

225241_1834640079021_1216395_n

February is almost here. With February comes thoughts of love, cupids, hearts & arrows. Valentine’s Day is a time to show your mate how much you love & appreciate them. When you’re parents, it is not always easy to fit the romance in, but here are a few simple steps to make it a memorable & romantic day for your sweetheart.

Step 1. Take a shower – I realize we should be doing this the other 364 days a year, but surprisingly enough this does not always happen as much as we would like. Since you are in the shower already, it probably wouldn’t kill you to shave those legs of yours.

Step 2. Leave your granny panties in the drawer & trade them in for a pair of your sexiest undies.  Since it is a special occasion break out your good sweats. You want to impress your man after all.

Step 3. Make him his favorite meal of a slab of meat wrapped in bacon & topped with bacon.

Step 4. Let him watch Sport Center instead of Doc McStuffins.

Step 5. Whisper to your husband those words that he loves to hear. “Honey, I will put the kid/kids to bed tonight.”

Step 6. Pour your husband a tall beer in his favorite Best Daddy mug.

Step 7. Give your guy a back rub for more than 30 seconds. You are not allowed to complain, whine or let out any bored sighs. Do it with a smile.

Step 8. Dim the lights, strip off your sweatpants & do what you both have been thinking about doing all day. .. fall asleep.

Don’t worry tomorrow, you can break out the granny panties again.

Speaking of romance… I am excited to be teaming up with my friend Rhonda over at Mother 2 Mother for the 5th installment of Sunday’s Best Link up. This is a great opportunity to meet new bloggers & show of your best of the best. This week’s theme is LOVE IS IN THE AIR. If you do not have a love themed post, no worries. We would love to see any of your favorite posts.

Exciting News

A couple of months ago, I was contacted by my blogging friend from the lovely blog From Palmetto Pride To Pad Thai.  She told me about a new online parenting magazine focusing on child and human development that she was starting. Seek Magazine was inspired by her son and his social and language delays that were brought on during a period of regression. All proceeds of the magazine will go to the non-profit organization they created. It is a scholarship fund for children in need of therapy to help with developmental delays. I am excited be contributing to the Activities section. Please check out my latest post ‘Crafty Glue Peels’ This is a crafting favorite in our home.

Please tune in to Miss Mai & I while we share our favorite crafts & activities. http://www.seekmagazine.org/kim-uliana/
