My daughter & I love making paper plate masks. We have made tons of them together over the years. Last week, I made her a Shopkins one as a surprise. Last, my little girl want to make a craft of her own. She asked me where the paper plates were & I told her. She came back with a bowl instead. She said she wanted to make a girl. “Mama. are you going to make a boy or a girl?” I told her that I was going to make a girl too, just like her.
Paint the paper bowl in a flesh tone & let dry. After the paint dries, glue large googly eyes onto the bowl.
Use markers to draw in the rest of the face. Cut lengths of yarn to form the hair & glue into place however you like.
My daughter’s girl had long brown hair with a bow.
Try different hair styles with the yarn & draw in different expressions or faces. We had a lot of fun making heads. My daughter even came her girl a hair trimming to try to even out her end. Adorable!
