I am kind of what you could call an owl fanatic. I have loved them since I was a little girl. My house is covered in owl knickknacks and I even have an owl tattoo. Now that’s love. These painted owl art projects are actually inspired by one of my favorite owl knickknacks. This is a great one for the kiddos. We love how they came out. Each one is so different and unique in design.

Wax Paper Ghosts
We love Halloween and making Halloween arts and crafts in our home. This year so far, we have made cauldrons, witches’ shoes, jack-o-lanterns, scarecrows, mummies, and pumpkin patches, but no ghosts. Ghost crafts have always been a tricky one for me. Ghosts should be transparent, shouldn’t they? But, it seems like they never are. That’s what makes the wax paper so great in these wax paper ghosts, even with a little paint they still keep some of their transparency and look adorably haunting.
Pastel Resist Mosaic Jack-O-Lanterns
We do love making mosaics in this house. We’ve made paper mosaics, pasta mosaics and even nature mosaics. We also love making all kinds of resist art because, let’s face it, it is just so cool. So, what happens when we combine the two? We get these amazing pastel resist mosaic Jack-O-Lanterns that combine two of our favorites with lovely results. This is a beautiful fall or Halloween project for the kiddos.
Painted Cork Fairy Houses
A couple of weeks ago my daughter stumbled across a box of corks. It inspired us to make some pretty cork printed pumpkin patches. My daughter had some ideas of her own about what she wanted to do with those corks. She broke out her paints, went to work, and painted a couple of toadstools on them.
I thought this was such a great idea. They were adorable and it gave me an idea. So thank you to my 9-year-old for inspiring these cute painted cork fairy houses.
Corrugated Cardboard Gnomes
These adorable gnomes are too cute and are quick and easy to make. Gnomes aren’t just for Christmas anymore. These corrugated cardboard gnomes are fun for every season. If you get as many Amazon deliveries as we do, then you should have plenty of cardboard on hand to make these little cuties.

Spider Web Line Art
I have a little secret. I love spiders. My good friends know this about me and think that it is weird. I know all the rest of you are all saying “Ewww”, but it’s true. Spiders get a bad wrap. They are actually very helpful. And I am just obsessed with their webs. This art project is dedicated to my 8-legged friends and it’s is a fun one.
Cork Printed Pumpkin Patch Art
My daughter found a box of assorted corks the other day. She was so excited when she found them and immediately wanted to know what she could do with them. Her excitement rubbed off on me and I had to find a project for the corks too. These champagne corks were perfect for our pumpkin patch.
