Yarn Wrapped Paper Plate Christmas Wreath

Spread the love

My daughter and I went shopping the other day and found that the Christmas decor was already in full force. She was wide-eyed and excited to see all of the holiday items displayed. “Look mama, Christmas.” We saw a pretty sparkly wreath in the store that caught her eye. She oohed and aahed over it. I asked her if she would like to make her own sparkly wreath when we got home and of course she did.

What you will need:

Paper Plate

Yarn

Sequins

Foam Christmas Stickers

Acrylic Paint

School Glue

Directions: Cut out the center of the paper plate. Paint the outer ring in acrylic paint and let it dry.

Wrap strands of yarn around the paper plate. My daughter tried to do it with the full ball and got a little tangled. Long strands will work best.

Squeeze school glue around your wreath and add sequins or glitter.

Add foam stickers or any other fun embellishments of your choosing to your wreath. Make a bow out of your yarn for an extra finishing touch and glue it to your wreath as well.

Let the glue dry completely and find a place to display your pretty new wreath.
