Yarn Lorax Mustache

Yesterday, my daughter and I made mixed media truffula trees inspired by one of our favorite Dr. Seuss books, ‘The Lorax’. We kept the Lorax love going with one more craft. The Lorax is known for his short stature, his love of the environment and that signature mustache. We thought that a mustache prop would be a ton of fun.

What you will need:

Cereal box or cardboard

Yellow yarn

Orange paint

Jumbo craft stick

School glue

Directions: Paint a jumbo craft stick in orange and set it aside to let it dry.

Cut a mustache shape out of an old cereal box or a light piece of cardboard.

Measure and cut strands of yarn half the size of the mustache.

Cover half of your mustache in glue.

Place the strands of yarn over the glue following the shape of the mustache.

Cover the glue with the strands of yarn and then do the same to the other half.

Glue the craft stick to the back of the mustache, let the glue dry and enjoy. We had some fun reading the Lorax together while using our mustache prop.
