First, you need to make the mirror.
You can have the child cut and assemble their own mirror or they may need some assistance.
Print out the free printable mirror template at the bottom of the page. Place the template on a piece of colored paper.
Cut through both pieces of paper following the lines of the template to form the mirror’s frame.
Choose from the mom, grandma or fill-in the name template. Print out the one of your choosing and then cut out the two printable pieces. Use a glue stick to glue the inside of the mirror onto the first mirror cut-out.
Cut the text out and glue it above the inside of the mirror.
Then comes the fun part.
Have your child draw a portrait of that special mother figure in their life. We used gel pens to draw our special portraits since they my daughter’s favorite, but crayons, colored pencils or even paint will work.
After your child has finished drawing the portrait, invite them to decorate their mirrors, as well, if the like. They can draw designs, add rhinestone stickers, glitter or any other embellishments for a little extra pizzazz.
