Trolls lovers will love these simple Trolls bookmarks made out of Popsicle sticks.
Like so many kids these days, my daughter is in love with the movie Trolls (affiliate link). Even if you have not seen the movie yet, I am sure you are still familiar with the bright and cheery Princess Poppy and her grumpy travel companion Branch. The movie is just bursting with color, glitter and song and dance. It is no wonder why children love them so much. These simple Trolls bookmarks are a great idea for your little Trolls fans.

What you will need:
School glue
Construction paper
Thin black Sharpie
Pencil
Directions to make Poppy:
Draw a line about 2/3 of the way down a craft stick with a pencil. Draw another line dividing that bottom 1/3 section in half. Paint the bottom section in blue acrylic paint and then the section above it in pink.
Paint a small heart shape in the center of the painted pink, using a darker shade of pink.
In that same shade of darker pink, paint two thin oval shapes around either end of the heart shape to form the nose.
Paint two small dark pink circles on each side of the nose.
Paint two white circles above the nose and use a ultra thin brush or a toothpick to dot speckles onto the cheeks. (The kids can substitute googly eyes instead of painted eyes.)
Use the dark pink again to paint the tiny circles within the white circles to form the eyes and then paint on small eyebrows.
Use a thin black Sharpie or a toothpick and paint to add a dot to the center of Poppy’s eyes, to form her eyelashes and to draw in her smile.
Spread school glue over the unpainted portion of the craft stick and glue a hot pink feather. Cut off any stem overhang if needed. Cut a small strip of green construction paper and glue on a few tiny blue sequins to form her hair piece. Glue it to the bottom of the feather. Use dark pink paint to touch up any bare spots that your feather might not have covered. Let the glue and paint dry before using.
