If you are a ‘Beauty and the Beast’ fan, you will love this adorable Chip inspired teacup craft made out of recyclables.
We were lucky enough to get out to the movies this weekend and see the new ‘Beauty and the Beast’ movie. I am a big fan of the animated version, so I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about the live action movie, but I loved it. It was absolutely beautiful. I love all of the characters from the movies, so it is hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to pick just one, it would have to be Chip. He is just so cute. I couldn’t resist making a teacup craft inspired by my favorite little teacup.

What you will need:
Toilet paper roll
Cut two sections of egg carton as shown. You will want to cut one down to about half the size of the other. Make sure that the smaller egg carton section lays flat when placed on a flat surface. Cut a small “v”-shape out of the other egg carton section. You may already have “v”-shaped notches on one side and that is fine, but I suggest using the opposite end for a smoother and nicer surface to work on.
Paint the inside and outside of the egg carton in white paint and then set it aside to dry.
Paint the half section of egg carton in pink and set it aside to dry.
Cut two narrow rings off of the ends of an empty toilet paper roll. Paint the inside and outside of the rings in yellow. Set those aside to dry.
Make sure your paint is dry.
Use a black Sharpie to draw a zig-zagged design around the top of your pink egg carton section.
Paint inside of the drawn sections, alternating between light pink and blue paints. Let the paint dry.
Cut one of the yellow rings open and trim it a bit to form a smaller ring that is the same size as the top of your pink egg carton section. Use a glue gun to reglue the ring and then glue it on top of the pink section.
Use a Sharpie to draw eyes, eye brows and a mouth onto the front of the teacup to the right of your “v”-shaped chip. Cut the other yellow ring open and cut it in half. Bend and curl it to form the handle.
Line the bottom and the top of your teacup in yellow paint to finish it off.
Voila!!! You have an adorable Chip inspired craft made out of recycled items. How sweet is he?
