It is that time of year. It is time to put up your Christmas tree, your twinkling lights and carefully unwrap all of your beautiful ornaments to decorate the tree. For me, there are none more beautiful than the ornaments made by my daughter. They will be the ones that I cherish and that make me smile for years and years to come.

These hand drawn ornaments are the perfect keepsake. They would be fun to make each year. Be sure to date each one to be able to compare.
You will need:
Black Sharpie
Tissue paper
School glue
Yarn
These are quite simple. Use a Sharpie to draw on the outside of your ornament. Draw a different design on each side of your ball or draw all the way around. If your child’s drawing is too light in parts, trace over it again in the Sharpie.
Open up the ornament and separate the two halves. Tear small pieces of tissue paper in different colors. I recommend staying with lighter colors or the Sharpie will get washed out. Spread glue around the inside of one of the halves and cover the glue with the pieces of tissue. Do the same with the other side as well.
Let the glue dry and snap the two halve of the ornament back together again.
Use a strand of yarn to string it up to the tree. This is a great gift idea for grandma and grandpa as well.
