What you will need:

Watercolor paper or any thick paper

Acrylic paint

A piece of cardboard

Construction paper

Glue stick

Directions:

Add a few drops of different colors of acrylic paint to the bottom end of a piece of thick stock paper.

Cut a piece of cardboard. Make sure that the edge is cut straight. Scrape the paint across the paper in an arc shape.

Scrape a few times forming smaller arcs underneath each other and working towards the center.

Let the paint dry,.

Cut the turkey’s body out of a piece of construction paper. Our shape is a bit like a fat bowling pin.

Cut a small orange triangle for the nose and glue it to the head.

You may draw on eyes or use googly eyes. Lastly, cut a waddle out of a piece of red construction paper and glue it under the beak. It’s as simple as that, a quick and easy Thanksgiving craft that is fun to make.

Here is my five year old showing off her turkey making skills. She enjoyed scraping the paint and already came up with a bunch more ideas for future projects for us.
