I am kind of addicted to snowflake crafts. I love the symmetry and since no two snowflakes are the same, think of all of the design possibilities. I could make snowflakes all day and with all of these wonderful snowflake craft ideas, I really could. There are snowflakes made with paper, snowflakes sewn with yarn, snowflakes made out of hand prints and even snowflakes painted on rocks. Which is your favorite?
We just got our first frost of the season this weekend. This was a gentle reminder that winter will be here before we know it, like it or not. As much as I am not a fan of the cold, I am a fan of winter crafts and nothing says winter like snowflakes. I love snowflakes. They are so pretty and easy to make and they are a great way to teach patterns and symmetry. These Q-tip snowflakes are also fantastic for working on those fine motor skills.
The winter is officially here and we enjoyed a couple of snowy days this week to welcome the start of winter. We played outside in the snow all day yesterday and took in all of the beauty of the season. Watching the snowfall and looking at the snow-covered trees was enough to inspire some winter crafting.
We love working with clay and nature items. We have a collection of sticks and stones set aside for occasions just like this.
