I try very little to hide my love for footprint art. I love it. I just can’t help it. So when my sister-in-law called me over the weekend and asked me if I would be willing to do footprints of her baby, I jumped at the chance. I asked her what she had in mind & could not have been more excited by her answer. She had requested Star Wars footprints. If you follow me on Facebook, you have probably already noticed by the many Star Wars crafts, activities and things that I am a big fan. I was actually shocked at myself that I had not yet thought of making these.

Mai & I visited with her aunt & cousin. Mai wanted to help paint his little baby feet.

They were so tiny compared to my daughters. I had forgotten that feet could even be that small. I was a little worried at first, not having done a footprint craft on a foot so tiny in quite some time, but after the first one, I was excited and ready for more. Once I started, I could not stop.

  1. Aw, look at those tiny feet! Seriously huge Star Wars fan here and already have tickets for the newest movie release for opening weekend. So, love this one and your sister-in-law picked the perfect footprint craft IMHO 😉

  2. I can’t wait to see the new movie too. I feel like I need to have a movie marathon soon. I have all of them. Lol! I love these little feet. You forget they were ever that small.

  3. I’m having my soon-to-be stepson do this for his dad/my fiancé for Christmas this year (probably 1-3 of them at least). What type of paper did you use for these? Did you use craft paint and markers then, as the base and for the details on top??

    1. Hi Bridget. If this is a gift, card stock or thicker paper works nicely because it doesn’t curl up or wrinkle when painted on. I used non-toxic acrylic paints for the prints. When the paint dried, I did use a Sharpie for fine details, but most of the details were painted with a thin brush. Good luck. I would love to see how they come out.
