Toilet Paper Tube Rainbow

It has been quite a few months since I have last posted. My daughter has been keeping me busy with sports and all of her extra-curricular activities, but with the current state of the world right now, we are at home as many of you are. We hope that all are safe and healthy. I know many are looking for easy activities to do with their kiddos right now. I will try to post as many easy arts & crafts projects with easily accessible items. This toilet paper tube rainbow is simple to make to ring in the spring. Paper towel rolls will work as well. We love our recyclables.

Snow Angel Craft

The snow has hit us in New England. My little girl has had 3 snow days in the past two weeks.. And we have already had us a ton of snowy fun. One of my daughter’s favorites snowy day activities is making snow angels. There are snow angels all around our yard. Those adorable little angel prints inspired today’s fun snow angel craft.

Corrugated Cardboard Birch Trees

If you are an Amazon lover like I am, you probably have a house full of cardboard. My daughter uses all of our boxes to build boats and spaceships and other assorted fun and imaginative things. Cardboard is great for these kinds of projects, but it is also an awesome material for mixed media type art projects like these corrugated cardboard birch trees. The ridges in the cardboard add a beautiful texture to this birch tree project.

My daughter loves patterns and symmetry. She loves things to be uniform, so mandalas are right up her alley. Chalk Pastel Northern Lights

We have been seeing a lot of beautiful, fun and vibrant chalk pastel projects lately from our friends over at Projects With Kids. We felt so inspired by her beautiful chalk art that we wanted to try one of our own.

One of our bucket list items is to see the Northern Lights. My family went to Iceland a few years ago and our tour got canceled due to poor viewing conditions. We might not be able to see them just yet, but with the help of a few chalk pastels, we can sure make some pretty art. These chalk pastel Northern Lights are super easy and fun to make.
